Habitat: along roadsides in wet meadows, and along ditches and marshes.
Plant Morphology Observations: upper portion of petiole tinted with purple; upper side of petiole attachment purple. Spreading by runners. No flowers seen.
Local Abundance Observations: forming extensive colonies.
