Verbatim Directions to Locality: ca. two miles east of Oviedo off Fla Rte 416.
Habitat: extensive Pinus clausa scrub with many young pines and rather dense shrub cover of Lyonia ferruginea, Lyonia lucida, glaucous Serenoa repens, Quercus geminata, Q. chapmanii, Befaria racemosa, Persea humilis, Ceratiola, Osmanthus megacarpa, with Rhynchospora megalocarpa, Galactia elliottii, and Smilax auriculata.
Plant Morphology Observations: corolla yellow; filaments orange anthers light yellow; buds dark orange.
