| Plant Morphology Observations: | Stems a few inches below the surface of the water, to about 8 feet long, flattened, 4 mm wide, 2 mm thick. Branches two at each node, dimorphic: one bearing abundant bladders, dull or brownish green, to about 45 cm long; the other bearing very few bladders, bright green (esp. in younger parts of plant), to about 25 cm long. Corolla golden yellow, palate orange yellow; lower lip ca. 1.5 cm wide, 1 cm long; upper lip 1 cm wide at base, 7 mm long, erect at right angles to lower lip; spur 6-7 mm long, 3 mm wide at base, tapering evenly to pointed tip. |
