Verbatim Directions to Locality: between U.S. 90 bridge & Jim Woodruff Dam along earth road, near Chattahoochee.
Habitat: Overflow land on east side of Apalachicola River.
Plant Morphology Observations: Staminate flowers at base of spikes; staminate scales spreading; pistillate scales ovate to lanceolate; perigynia broadest ca. middle & abruptly narrowed into beak; perigynia ca. 3 - 3 1/2 mm long; leaves 1-5 mm wide. Spikes generally separate on the axis.
