Habitat: palmetto hammock; Woods are shady, with much standing water, and many rotted palmetto logs. Senecio, Aesculus, Acer also present. Plant Morphology Observations: perigynium ovid-conic, pale green; stigmas light brown, three per flower; rhizome thick, easily pulled from mucky substrate.
