Habitat: heavily vegetated shell mound about 7 m. high, 100 m. long along Mosquito Lagoon; woody overstory mostly of Celtis, Exothia paniculata, Xanthoxylum Fagara, Persea littoralis, Ardisia escallonioides, Rapanea guianensis, Parthenocissus quinquefolia, Plumbago scandens, Bumelia and Forestiera; along narrow beach, base of mound. Plant Morphology Observations: tree 6 m tall; bark deeply fisusured [fissured], brown gray lvs glossy, lighter beneath. Local Abundance Observations: infrequent. Notes: [map inset].
