| Plant Morphology Observations: | stems erect or leaning, to 2 m long, leafy summit heavy, eventually the weight causing them to fall and lie on the ground, the bud continuing to grow and eventually to form an erect stem again; buds may also form; all erect stems had living leaves well down from the bud, and dead leaves "skirting" the stem all the way to the base. Leaf blades strongly glaucous at first and bluish green, later becoming less glaucous and grayish green, youngest leaves angling ascending, later becoming more limber and arching downward; inflorescence stalks (their skeletons apparent at this season) about 4 dm to the first floriferous branch, 15 dm high overall.
