Verbatim Directions to Locality: between road and drainage canal; earth road between U.S. Rt. 98 and Aucilla River Fish Camp.
Habitat: wet marly soil between road and drainage canal; earth road.
Plant Morphology Observations: Large leaves are apparently summer leaves of previous season. Petals violet at first, fading to pale violet; corolla enlarging to twice the size of first anthesis by time of petal shrivelling; lateral petals bearded near the base.
Local Abundance Observations: locally abundant.
