Verbatim Directions to Locality: South terrace of Hillsborough R. off Morris Rd. bridge, northeast of Tampa.
Habitat: Hardwood association of spp of Quercus, Ulmus, Carpinus, Liquidambar, Viburnum with Sabal palmetto; in partly shaded openings.
Plant Morphology Observations: Lateral petals bearded, center white; cleistogenes with ripe capsules.
Local Abundance Observations: dominant ground cover.
